Motorcycle GPS Heads Up Display

In this modern era, many people use a Global Positioning System (GPS) when driving to provide directions and guide them to their destinations. This project is intended to overcome the hazard of the driver having to look down at the GPS unit and running the risk of being in an accident. These systems are already a big part of the automobile industry, but there is also a need to make them a part of the motorcycle industry. For this multidisciplinary design project, the team is designing a Motorcycle Helmet GPS Heads-Up Display, in which the information that gets viewed in the display for the GPS unit will be displayed in the helmet visor. The information from the GPS unit will be extracted via USB to a netbook and interpreted by several software products. The information will then be outputed from the netbook through the appropriate cables and converters to the Heads-Up Display.
