Senior Design Project Fall - 2006


Project Overview

The objective of this project was to implement an automated vehicle speed control system. The vehicle is equipped with an infrared (IR) sensor which reads three different reflective patterns off of three underpasses and interprets them as speed limit signs. Additionally, five IR sensors are also used to follow a reflective track. The vehicle automatically adjusts its speed so as to obey the speed limit for that particular stretch of the track.
