Industrial Advisory Board
The Computer Engineering Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) consists of
industrial, government and academic affiliates. The IAB objectives and
benefits to board members are listed below:
IAB Objectives
- Review the department's goals, objectives and operational policies
from an external perspective
- Provide feedback related to curricula, research directions, and external
interactions
- Help identify external funding sources and profitable external interactions
- Meet with the CE faculty for annual review meetings
- Actively participate and provide comments, suggestions and feedback
on departmental issues, especially with respect to the ABET 2000 accreditation
criteria
Benefits to IAB members
- Ensure that the CE students and graduates have received the best
possible education and training in modern facilities
- Gain exposure and visibility with CE students early in their program
of study
- Help shape the direction of research and graduate study in Computer
Engineering to fit industry needs and future trends
The IAB meets annually for review and assessment of the Computer Engineering
